About Us
PMBA, a chartered IMBA chapter club, is a charitable non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
We are an organized group of mountain biking enthusiasts who share a common love of the sport and a desire to promote it. We are composed of all levels and types of riders, young and old, many of whom enjoy volunteering to build and maintain trails as much as we enjoy riding on them.
Our core philosophy is to be dedicated to protecting our precious trails via responsible usage, advocacy, volunteer work and financial contributions.
PMBA is open to all people who are looking for an effective and fun way to share in and contribute to the Philadelphia & surrounding area mountain biking experience!
Members are urged to contribute by any and all means possible, whether that is time, money, goods, services and/or expertise.
As IMBA says: "what would we do without trails?" That's a scary proposition...
We hope to see you at the next volunteer trail maintenance day, group ride, or meeting!!

The Rally in the Valley was a HUGE success.
 Event Sponsors
On April 28th, 2007, The Philadelphia Mountain Biking Association, with the cooperation of the Fairmount Park Commission and the Friends of the Wissahickon, is hosting a mountain bike ride event.
The Rally in the Valley is not a race, but a fun ride at your own pace through the beautiful and challenging Wissahickon Valley Park to support a great cause.
There will be 3 marked courses for beginners, intermediate and advanced riders. There will also be a kids area and a few obstacles for all riders to try their skill.
Half of the proceeds will be donated to the Friends of the Wissahickon to support their ongoing effort to repair, maintain and rebuild the trails, as well as to benefit the long-term goal to redesign many existing unsustainable trails and bring them up to sustainable standards.
-
Registration for the event will start at 8am and close at 10:30am.
- Riders can proceed onto courses at their leisure.
-
Prizes from the sponsors will be raffled away starting at 1pm. All paying participants have a great chance to win biking swag. There is lots and lots of stuff to give away!!!!
- Helmets are mandatory for all participants.
*Registration is at Northwestern Ave. entrance to park, right off Germantown Ave. in Lafayette Hill, close to Chestnut Hill College. Google Map "W Northwestern Ave, 19118"
Donation is $20 for adults, kids 12 and under are free with paying adult.

Current Wissahickon Conditions
Trails are wet from the light snow, but they are by no means muddy and you can ride them. Just use caution becuase it is slick! It is also very pretty in there!
Please put a bell on your bike and use it, it's courteous to other users.
