Hey what's the ride level for these  wed night rides?  I don't want to slow anyone up.  I also have to get some lights soon, any suggestions?

My Wed 530 ride is not very fast. It's not like a training ride by any means and we just go the pace of the group and nobody gets left behind. Most regulars are slow to climb and very fast on the downs.

For lights: Get the best you can afford. As long as they get you out there, that's what matters most. Def get Lithion Ion batteries what ever you choose and try to get at least a 2 hour burn time so you don't get caught in the dark. One on the head and one on the bar is the best setup. There are some light discusions on the forum somewhere....

Good ride last night Jess!

Should I start to look into some lights?

Gotta tell you guys, the lights I picked up from Princeton Tec have treated me very well!! I have the Switch Back 3 model and it's definitely bang for the buck!!! Picked up a brand new set on Ebay last spring for about $200. 6 hours burn time on the high setting and a 2 hour charge, plus all the accessories to get you riding. Nice deal!!!!

Anyone up for tonight 7:30 at Janette Street?  I can't post any responses from work, but will check in to see if anyone is interested.

If my glasses come in today and the wife let's me out to play, I may join in. It's been 10 days since I've been on either of my bikes and it's killing me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Halfloop - we usually ride at night about that time too on various nights.  My crew all bailed on me but I'm still considering a night ride.  Don't know where Janett street is though.  Are you still planning on going? My name is John - my phone no. is 917-553-7915

I'm in..........are you meeting at the trail head or top of the access road? Funny that you call it Janette Street when it's actually Green Lane, unless you really are meeting at Janette Street? What's the pace, as I'm still getting use to night riding with my glasses?

Cool.

Yes, it's really Green Lane.  We meet at the bottom of the hill where Green Lane and the trail entrance join ~ right near the house w/little barn and horses.

Tonight's my only opportunity to ride so I'm in for any pace except 'fast'.  One other guy is 'hopeful' but will be a game time decision.

Nice, looking forward to it. How about "Decent" for our pace? My wife is going to a seminar tonight and taking our daughter, so I'm up for riding as long as possible. Gotta take these opportunities when they present themselves!!!!!!!!

 Shocked
Ha...I had typed moderate for the pace but then backed off that since you mentioned getting used to your glasses at night.  I'm thinking it will be a good ride and I'll have a bite to eat beforehand so I'll have no time (or hunger) constraints.

See you at 7:00
