For the regular Monday ride on Aug 12, I arrived about 10 minutes late, expecting everyone to be gone.  Everyone, in this case, was Dmitri.  He was still there.  Nobody else had turned up.  Lucky for me.

We went north on Forbidden Drive, over the covered bridge, then north on the east side of the river along the new track.  It looks good.  We chatted with the workers for a while and then continued on to Stenton, switched over to Forbidden and went south.  We went up the 'usual trail' (I don't know the name) at the start of the loop.  We continue along the loop until 7pm or so, when I needed to head back to get the bike into the shop before 8pm.

BTW: on that uphill from Forbidden, Dmitri gradually disappeared from my sight on his single speed.  But at the first junction, where we turn left to go up to the road, he was taking a break....

Great!  Here's my chance to get ahead and beat him to the road.  No such luck.  I ran out of steam and he passed me before the top.

We also managed to do a bit of 'trail maintenance' by creating a small barrier to stop riders short cutting a steep downhill.  Hopefully that'll stopthe trail widening.  Unless they remove our debris.

This makes two days in a row I've seen new tracks in the Wiss.

Dimtri: thanks for the company and the tour-guiding.  Hopefully we can ride again soon.

Heh, the reason for the disapearance was, I needed a "pit stop" so I tried to get ahead to have few moments before you caught up, so that I wouldn't make you stop.

Yep, we chatted with IMBA crew, Dan, Steve, Scott, Val and a new guy. They are making good progress, starting to place some large rocks on the trail, they are small enough to easily roll over if you want to practice bonny hoping but def add a little fun factor.
