I've been using this new weather map and it's pretty good. Be sure to go down on the lower right to "In Motion" and hit the "play" button. Seeing where the rain is and where it's heading is a great way to judge what you're ride is going to be like.

I like this map because it's scrollable and zoom-able just like google maps (actually uses Microsoft's Virtual Earth). Generally most every storm tends to come from West to East, or South West to North East. Today it is really coming almost South to North.

Most of the time when rain is heading from the west and I see it hit Harrisburg I know I've got 1-2 hours of riding before it hits us. Today though the direction is so South to North that the bulk will hopefully miss us, though one or two mini storms could hit us bad.

On the whole I find looking at the map to be much more accurate than any other forecast. 90% of the time you can see when something is headed your way. A good way is to zoom out to view half the country and see where the patterns are moving. The only thing it'll miss is if the storms by chance happen to form right above us. But mostly they are already formed and traveling here.
