I am a pennypack first timer, feel like hitting up some fresh trails. Anyone out there feel like going for a ride there today, around 6ish if the weather holds up?

Also, where can you start/park to get going, I just need a starting point, then i'll go get lost.

Hey Adam, you want the Pine Road lot

I hear at there's a ride out virtually every Tuesday and Thursday from pine rd around 5:30 - 6:00pm. Theres plenty of horse trails on both sides of the river but you'll probably need some locals to find the singletrack.

Need to get Pat to lead an organized ride out there. He know's all the little side trails that the magical trail fairies maintain. He told me the other day that when Lust and Dirt met him last time that they only got to see a fraction of what Penny Pack has too offer.

If you park in the Pine Road lot, start back to Pine Road on your bike and you can make an immediate left before you hit the sidewalk or go right onto the sidewalk, over the bridge and there are two trailheads to enter in there.

If you ever get lost, you can always bail to the paved trail, which will take you back to Pine Road.  If you are not sure which way to go, there are usually green signs at some of the paved intersections which will point you in the right direction back to Pine Road and tell you how far.

With Pennypack Park, if you parked at Pine road, getting back to the lot is always upstream.  Look at the water.  Go against the flow.

There's a group meeting at Pennypack at 6pm on Wed 13 Aug.  Pine Road.
