the skill level right now is begineer to intermediate... later in the season we may start having two rides one slower and the other faster.  We usually finish riding the trails around 7:30 so lights have not been needed yet.  Hope to see you there! Cheesy

If Jesse shows up in a skirt, you might want those blindfolds...

I'm totally going to try to get my wife there this week. She loves to ride but it is usually dominated by us smelly dudes!  It would be nice for her to ride with someone other than burly, and I might add, stinky men.

Hello Everyone;

TUESDAY

Our Tuesday girl ride is on for today; please note that today is going to be another HOT day so make sure that you bring plenty of water.  I was on the trails yesterday & they were a tiny bit on the damp side from the storms that came thru on Sunday afternoon & night;  so today sun & heat should make for perfect conditions… just a bit tacky.

Today route will start out going from the Pavilion toward demo 1; we will cut down the hill before demo 1 (AKA 7 mph) and then ride across the other side & take that trail up to Kitchen Lane; we will then go left onto Forbidden & take it to the fireroad at the Golf Course Climb (GCC)… we will not climb the GCC but instead head right & take the trails back to the Pavilion.

TIPS FOR MANAGING THE HEAT

While the heat is another challenge to riding; it does not have to discourage anyone from riding.  The most important thing to remember is to drink plenty of water before the ride; during the ride & after the ride.  The trails are cooler then the streets thanks to the shade of the trees, the creek, and the lower elevation.  Also the ride does not begin until later in the day; after the sun hottest rays are fading.

BIKE CLINIC AUGUST 10Th REMINDER

PMBA has scheduled another bike clinic; this one is on August 10th @ the Livezey Pavilion (Sunday) we will have the Pavilion this day so expect food & fun to follow.  As more information becomes available I will be in contact also please check on the PMBA website.

Thanks for reading & hope to see you today!

Hello Everyone;

We will be doing the same route as last week (as we had a low volume ride but the girls in the ride like the route).

They are calling for another awesome day (weather wise)!  What is a better way at taking full advantage of a beautiful day then riding!

DON’T FORGET THE PMBA CLINIC IS THIS SUNDAY (AUGUST 10th) AT THE LIVEZEY PAVILION @ 11:00 AM.

Thanks for reading & hope to see everyone!
