Storms in the area, but the ground is super dry so I'm riding. Will bail if it turns bad.

This ride has been changed to a weekly trail maintenance day until the end of the EIT project is done. I will post more info later. Expect to meet at Bells mills rd at 530 instead of at Livezey. Brings gloves and workboots instead of a bike. Of course I still encourage you to ride a bike to the park if you can.

Looking for a good turnout tomorrow. Please if you can, come down and turn some dirt with us. We have 600 feet of brand new flowy singletrack to cut. When you ride this section a month from now, you can say you helped make it. Work starts at 5. Wear sturdy shoes and work gloves.

Yea if anyone want to come after 5 it is perfectly fine. Any and all help would be much appreciated. The mission of our work is too keep this new trail rocky. That's right. We want this to be a rocky trail and we are the ones who have to make it happen.

Great work today! Thanks very much to all who made it out. Rock armoring this new trail needs to be high on our priority list. I'm getting a little bit tired of hearing the words "why are you guys making the trails smooth?"

We don't want to make the trails smooth but construction involves moving all the soil and the rocks and the only way to get the rocks back it to put them back. Pretty simple really, so we know what we need to do. Next Wednesday we should do more of this. Mark your calendars. Good times.

Stone pitching. A technique used to add rocks to the trail for stability, texure, and flavor. Can be a time comsuming job but worth it in the end. Learn this and other techniques at this large worksite.
