Ride this Afternoon?

Is anyone riding this afternoon, or are any beginner/intermediate riders go out today?
I plan on getting out after 4 and was wondering if anyone wanted to meet up. I've been riding the Wiss for a few months now so I'm familiar with a lot of the trails. I'm just still a little slow.

Thanks man, but 4 will be tough for me. I don't think I'll be out till about 4:30, which is basically the end of your ride.
If something changes where you'll be out later, or be riding longer, just let me know.

Man I have to watch how I write stuff.
I'm not riding from 4 till 430. Ha. I'm starting between those two times. Sorry. Jeremy will be at my place at 4, so we will be swinging by Livezey @430 for a loop that will last longer than a half hour, I promise. We'll look for you.

Ok that sounds good. I'm actually leaving work earlier than I expect to today, so I'll definitely be there.
Thanks for letting me come a long.

Thanks a lot for the ride today guys. I really appreciate you guys waiting up for me, showing me new trails and giving me some pointers. Even Vito showed me up, haha.
I do regret not riding down those steps though.
Next time.

So......I went on a solo this afternoon. I rode one of the log rides and some newbie was like "that was cool, can I ride with you?" I said "sure" and then proceded to show off as much as I could.....I was paid back by some loose dirt on a good jump on the yellow trail toward Lincoln Dr. My eyes got big, I said "F-it, I'm showin' this kid how to ride" and I hit the ~3ft log jump with a full head of ~15mph steam, leapt 3-5ft in the air, sailed several ft................................................and landed on the side of my face! Yeah, there's some loose dirt out there. Be careful!!!!!!

Durb- this scenario is all too familiar.. what the heck possess us to do that stuff around noobs? When I took my wife out a couple years ago for her first mtb ride out we hit a couple log crossings & I tried to show off & do a couple jumps, etc etc, then it happened, I caught one & didn't get over cleanly & got launched, landed in some brush & was fine..but she cleaned it. All I heard for the next 3 days was "you freaking wuss (her exact explicatives & wording wasn't so nice.. lol) I can't believe you can't make those little logs" blah blah blah blah blah.. oh the humanity!
