New trails in Yardley
«

I'm currently working on trails in Yardley, PA near the canal if anyone is interested in helping me out with trail work and ideas. I have more than enough tools for a group of people and wood that is good for bridges.

Droptopchevy, count me in. I'm in Yardley myself. I ride Core Creek a lot because it's so close, but would love to ride some other local stuff right in my own town, and having a part in building them would make it all that much more fun.
Contact me anytime you want some extra help.

The trails are right off of the canal path just south of Black Rock Road. There is a bench on the canal path and a trail leading back to the area I am talking about.
It was good riding with you at Bald Pate today Doug.

I'll be out and about tomorrow making trails. For those of you interested in checking it out go to the canal path in Yardley at Black Rock Road. Head south on the canal path and make a left into the woods at the first bench. The trails go to the left and right after you cross a migshift bridge. I most likely will be making trails to the right (south).

Starting defining some deer trails to accept bicycles and laid down a bridge over a swampy area. Gotta start working on log overs since I don't have a chain saw.

Droptop. Do you know how to make grade reversals. Just wondering cause a trail without grade reversals will channel water and become eroded over time. This is bad. Grade reversals can be made into jumps.
Also avoid flat areas cause they will puddle and then you will end up with a big puddle in the middle of your trail, which people will go around which then makes the puddle bigger and bigger. This gives the trail bad flow; like ride flow. And you want the trail to have nice flow.
I'm just curious cause deer are not always the best trail designers. Go here:
