New to PMBA.....

Hey everyone. This is Chuck, my brother Nick and I help with the TM on Sat. Good stuff. Figure I would join up officially and say "hi". Hope to do many more TM days with everyone. It was fun and a great learning experience.
Also hope to do some group rides. I'm currently without lights, so until I have that solved it's daylight only. If you see some guy on a curvy Retrotec SS 29er that's me. Once in a while I ride my orange jamis cross bike.
I also sent paypal that will hopefully help go to the winch lever I broke yesterday....woops!

Hey this is Nick, Chuck's brother, it was a lot of fun meeting/working with everyone on Saturday. I'll definitely be back again.
I'm also in the market for lights, so hopefully i can join some group rides soon.
Cheers.

Brothers U, thanks a lot for coming out and it was real nice to meet you guys and turn some dirt. It was a banner volunteer day in shitty weather. But that's what makes it worth while for sure... Let's do some riding soon. Hopefully this suck ass weahter will change and the sun will shine or the ground will freeze... Peace! Lou

Riding would be good. If this weather sticks, I'm gonna go nuts.

Hey guys! Welcome, and so much for coming out and helping out! I'm glad to hear that you had fun, despite the lousy conditions.
And another 29er SSer!!! Nice! Welcome to the fold. Hurry up with those lights. We have several night rides during the week. Two of them, Monday and Tuesday, seem to be predominantly SS and 29er. Not that we discriminate, we welcome all, but it just so happened that our core group of three riders for those rides is all SSers and two of us are on 29ers.
Retrotec... Mmmm... Good (tm)!!!

Awesome. Nick is actually on a SS 29er now too. I talked him into it a few weeks ago and he went and bought a Raleigh xxix. Nice!
So, that will be two more....Both rigid.
Lights!...They are the top of my bike list, hopefully in a few weeks.

Two words... X-mas list!!!
Get several relatives to pitch in for one set of good lights!
dz
PS Dude, you're lucky I didn't know you had a bike like that yesterday, cos I might just "accidentally" dropped a 50 lbs rock on your leg making it impossible for you to ever ride again, and just _having_ to relieve you of your bike...
It's not size L or XL is it? I might still have to do that "oops, I dropped that rock" thing...

Not a bad idea, I always ask for a gift cert for the LBS. Have to see how it goes.
Otherwise I should have in under control. I'm just laying low trying to figure out my x-mas gifts for others, plus figure out my year end business purchases (photographer) so I can get them on the books before year end = spend as much money as possible so I don't have to give away come April.
What kinda light setups are you guys running? I know everyone says L&M arc if you have the $$$. I was thinking possibly two of the new L&M Stella LEDs. One for the helmet, one for the bars.
edit: If you took me off that bike, I would just frame it and put it on the wall. It's his size L, 24" TT.
Guess I'm going to have to watch my back....and my legs.

Hmmm... 24" TT... Watch out! Crunch!
And I'm officially turning art thief!!! :-)
Definitely go with helmet/bar setup if you can swing it.
HIDs are nice, I have Topeak moonshine enduro, i kow several people who like their niteriders a lot, new LED ones are great for long long burn times, and are getting bright now days. Check out Princetontech switchback series.

Haha, I know blazing certainly doesn't describe my riding. But that bike sure does look fast, and that's gotta count for something!

That's a sweet looking bike Chuck. Welcome to the tribe. Thanks for your help on Saturday. Great work.
