Back on finally. Been doing trail work over at the EIT for...I dunno, like two months! This week my Wed ride is back in effect. There will still be people working at the job site so if you'd like go lend a hand. But me, I need to ride!

Awesome ride tonight. Mad props to all, but especially Chris who showed up and Rode with a bunch of strangers at night, on trails he's never seen before. Nice job.

Also props to the other Kris who shows up on commuter bike and tears it up. It even had a rack on the back. Nice man.

Be out again next week. It's getting dark so if you're gonna come bring lights.

Rode today at lunchtime..   Whoever added some dirt to a few of those log jumps after Gorgas... A BIG THANK YOU.   They are awesome and a total blast.  Nice Job.    Grin

Hope to make a group night ride soon...

Thanks, Tom.  It was my first time out on the Cross Check in "monster cross" mode with 1.8" tires and 17° flat bars.  Felt great!  I'm too lazy to take the rack off as I'm constantly using my panniers when I'm not out on the trails...

I should have a light for next week's ride!

Great ride tonight. We were 9 deep. 1 flat. 1 bonk. Not too bad.

This will be the locked gate ride for the rest of the winter. Rangers wil be locking the parking lot gate at 530. I have the gate keys so I will let riders out post ride. At least you know your car will be safe.

I cannot make it this week. I've injured my calf muscle and need to rest it. So if you plan on driving over don't park inside the gate because I will not be there to let you out. Parking on Livezey across the street is good. It's also legal to park on Henry ave.

See you next week. I've been reading up on my crock-pot recipes.

Good times last night!

The Roxborough side of the park, especially south of Livezey has many sections that are holding water, and it does not get as much sunlight. So there are some soft spots. And the usual mudholes that never dry out this time of year.

The Mount Airy/Chestnut Hill side of the park dries out much faster and gets more sunlight. We only rode a small section on Roxy side and then crossed over and it was all good.

Too bad there is rain in the forecast again.

I have a pary to attend this week, so I am going to bump this ride up to 3:00. No post ride beers and food this week. Sorry.

There is rain in the forecast anyway so it may be no go. We shall see.

Walls are up
Roof is on
Still needs to be shingled, sided, door built, window installed, ramp built, landscaped, electric ran....and finally filled with the unstoppable PMBA tool arsenal!

I'll be working on it this weekend with Opie our master craftsman. The pic is from Saturday when the first wall went up.

Forcast for tomorrow is not looking good. I have off work tomorrow and will probably ride early and maybe beat the rain. I'm thinking around 11 at the latest.

What's the last thing we're gonna do in 2008? RIDE OUR BIKES. This ride is not cancelled due to the holiday. I plan to smack the trail hard like it's 1999.

I am however going to bump the time up since I will be outta work early. I may go out around 2 or 3pm. I'll update tomorrow when I know what time I'm outta work.

hmmm, Dz's ride: VGI at 2 PM for "3 hour hard, fast, minimum stoppage leg burner"

or TC's ride at 2:30 pavilion?  Either way I'm getting my ass kicked... Tom, can we stop at Chubby's for cheesesteaks?
