Hey everyone, check out this link which has an awesome unofficial map of the trails. Thanks a lot to Riggs for hooking us up with this link. The trails are unbelievable down there. I strongly suggest making a trip there. Enjoy!

there is a school that borders the park with a nice big parking lot. from looking at google maps it appears to be before you reach foxden rd. while travelling north on polly drummond hill rd. on the left

all of the official park parking lots are fee based. $6 for out of staters

I've always parked in the lot off Possum Hollow Rd. here.

Follow the dirt road from the marker to the end where it circles; that's the lot.

I've never seen anything there charging anyone like they have at Fair Hill, unless that's changed?

You want to map to:  135 Possum Hollow Rd,Newark, DE 19711   The entrance to the dirt rd is on your left and I think it is across from or near a Korean church.

Here are some shots that I took down there in 2006.  Looks like they changed a bunch of stuff since then.

It's a great place to ride.  I think Middle Run is the best "intro" course around.  That area has something for everyone, and it's large enough for a full-day ride.  We went down there last year and brought lunches with us - ride Middle Run in the AM, then ate lunch and rode the White Clay route in the afternoon.  One first-timer came with us and bailed after the MR loop, but still had a good time.

ain't been in a while but from what i remember the delaware park lots are free and the MD park lots charge.

my cheap azz usually parked in thje middle run lot and then used middle run pretty much as the connecter to hit all the middle run parts.

i have also heard rumors that you can concievably connect these two to fairhill pretty easily. now that would open up a LOT of ground to cover in one ride.

given the choice anymore i always go to fairhill when i am down there these days. these trails are fun, but fairhill is much bigger and just as good.

Lou and I did some trail work with the Delaware Trail Spinners last week, and they mentioned a trail that they had been working on that would connect Middle run and Fairhill.

They mentioned some other project in another location that they had in the works but I can't remember the details.

A group of us are heading to Middle Run and White Clay this Saturday 9/29.  We're planning to arrive at the Possum Hollow Road parking lot about 10:30, ride Middle Run, then have lunch and head for White Clay and the skills park.  One objective of this trip is to get lots of pictures, so the group may be stopping frequently. There's no place to get lunch nearby, so you'll have to bring it.  Info about Middle Run is here: http://www.pearcefamily.org/Middle%20Run.htm.  It's a great place for beginners - the loop is short, there are no rocks or big hills - just lots of twisty, winding singletrack.    The weather forecast looks great.

I went down there for a few hours today and used that map, which helped alot.  The skills trail was fun, but not as hard as I figured.  Overall it was very smooth, flowy riding with some nice singletrack through open fields.  The little trail elements keep it interesting as well as a couple of really fun downhill berm sessions (especially coming down from the water tower).  You could probably string together a 20 mile or so ride and not have to ride stuff multiple times.

I was impressed with the trail upkeep, very well groomed and kept.
