the trailhead.

Wow, what a great job the FOW and PMBA guys did last Saturday on that Gorgas Lane trail section! I rode it today and almost couldn't believe it. That trail had been virtually unrideable - too narrow where the tree fell, and with large rocks covering the rest of the trail. Now there's plenty of room to pass the tree, with berms covering many of the rocks. There are massive waterbars along the upper part of the trail, which hopefully will direct some of the rain water off of the trail. The reroute wasn't really noticable - other than being much better than the original. Nice job, everyone.

it was done so well I was half over it before I noticed this morning. Totally awesome job.
But alas that is also where as soon as I started cranking to bent my chainring out of whack and had to walk home. I lost a chainring bolt last time I was out and forgot to put another one in there... , another $30 ride!

I will be there in AM for a couple of hours. Going to clear some of those "jousting" large branches and small trees sticking into the trail above the ground from Hermit St to where we are going to meet. Should only take me a few minutes at each section. See u about 9am

Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday. I commend you all on a another job well done. We did what we wanted to do and got it cleaned up at a decent time. Nice work.
That problematic section of the trail is now in a much improved state from what it was a month ago.
Many of you have been regulars at out work days so far, and are becoming key elements in the effeciancy of our crew. We're still learing and we're getting better all the time. In trail making, as in all other activities, progress and improvement are inevitable.
Thank you.
