D&Q race cancelled due to unauthorized trail construction

At least that's what the website says. Here's part of the text:
It is with deep regret that the No Cents Racing Team has been forced to cancel the 2007 D&Q Summer Sizzler Mountain Bike Race. An unsolicited local press release along with the unauthorized construction of trails in environmentally sensitive areas has raised concerns from the college administration. The No Cents Team is working with the college to resolve these concerns and save the Gloucester County College trails for future use by bicycles. The trail system may still be in jeopardy. Resolving these issues will be vital for a 2008 Summer Sizzler Race.

Good think we're working in cooperation with our "trail host" organizations.

That's exactly why Philly needed a club, to have an organized positive image and advocate for the trails and MTBers. We are lucky to gain support of few key people at FOW. We need to be sensitive about our endeavors and continue gaining the acceptance and respect of local "powers" with good work.
That is a shame what happened. That race was a lot of fun and those trails, if shortish, were a blast to ride. I hope they wok out the kinks and get it back!
