I wanted to inform everyone that a bike was stolen from Bike Line's
Newark store on Wednesday, June 6th at approximately 3:00 pm. It was
a full suspension Trek EX8, 17.5" with a "Project One" paint job
which is a custom bike, silver with orange flames. It is exactly as
pictured below colors and all. It is one of less than two hundred in
the country and probably the only one in the area. It is silver with
orange flames. Serial # is SWL3417688 which can be found on the
frame under the bottom bracket. I have attached a picture of the
bike for everyone to see. Please keep an eye out for this bike
coming into your shop or out on the trail.

The person who stole the bike was about 5'8", short blond hair, mid
20's, well dressed and well spoken. He was very polite and seemed to
know more than the average consumer about bikes. I was out in the
parking lot riding with him on another bike since he was trying to
choose between two. He decided that he liked the EX8 better and
asked for a longer test ride. He never came back.

I would appreciate everyone forwarding this to anyone you can think
of that is into cycling in case it is spotted. If you do spot this
bike please contact Newark Police at 302-368-7110 and then contact
Newark Bike Line at 302-368-8779.
