Just got this from IMBA today. Check it out folks!!!

IMBA is coming to Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site, PA, June 23-24, and you're invited to join in the special events. Anna Laxague and Jason Wells of the Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew are teaming with the National Park Service for a weekend dedicated to improving local trails.

Our participation shows the NPS that mountain bikers are serious about healthy recreation and volunteer trails stewardship. America's premier park system is mostly closed to on-trail riding. But thanks to a breakthrough agreement signed in 2005 between IMBA and the National Park Service (NPS), singletrack opportunities are on the rise. For the first time, NPS leaders in Washington, D.C., have formally recognized mountain biking as a positive activity, compatible with the values of our National Park system. Building on the many successes of last year, the Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crews will be visiting nine National Park units in 2007.

The visit features an IMBA Trailbuilding School, an evening social and a group ride. This is your opportunity to rub shoulders with the IMBA Crew while learning all about trailbuilding. Check out the details below and come join in the fun.

Please send this invitation to other area mountain bikers, land managers and trail users. The more the merrier!
If this event is too far away for you to attend, we understand. We sent you this email to not just invite you but also let you know about the important work IMBA is doing in your area.

Please RSVP for this event at this link:

I personally can not make this as I will be out in the Northwest doing some riding. Also I realize that this is the same day as our first TMD. But for those who are out that way (Western suburbs and Reading area) please check it out!!!!

Saturday, june 23rd date comflicts with out TM Day at Wissa. But they will continue trail work with an afternoon ride on Sunday. That might be a great opportunity to go out and learn as well as compare our effort on Saturday to the "professionals" on Sunday.

Hey, Max - if you're gonna be biking anywhere near Asheville I have some .GPX tracks of some great trails in Bent Creek, and also a track of the Mouse Trail at Tsali.
