Does anybody ride at night in Wissahickon during the summer?  Is it allowed?  If I don't get to use my bike lights soon, I'm going to smash the headlights on my car and drive with my head out the window and my bike on the roof.

Thanks,
Greg

I believe it is allowed...or should I say my buddy did it before at the Wiss.  Forgot to ask him if it was legal.   Huh

The more seasoned guys on this forum will chime into let you know for sure.  I am a rookie.

No it's not allowed and you can't use your headlight on the bike!!!

I just want to see you actually follow thru with your threat!!!

But yes, it is allowed, we did it regularly during winter, just because the sunset was at 4:30 PM. In the middle of the summer there might added bonus of it being cooler at 7-8 PM than 4-5PM

Thanks to both of you for the replies.

Now the follow-up...

Who's up for a ride in the dark???  Doesn't necessarily have to be Wiss.  I'm in town Thurs-Monday every week.

Otherwise I'll see ya around the Wiss during the day.  I'll be the guy in a Cherokee with busted headlights.    Cool

I guess we could keep on riding on Wed night rides till the sun goes down and it gets dark.

Black Cherokee with PMBA sticker in the rear window by any chance?

Nope, silver 2000 XJ Classic with no stickers.  Haven't been around too much lately.  Used to ride Mondays and Fridays a lot during the day.  Which, by the way, I'm still up for if you or anybody else ever has Mondays or Fridays off.  My work schedule is flexible those days.

Night rides in the summer are very rare. If it's really hot during the day, and it's a Friday or Saturday night, I'd be down. I say the weekend because I get up too early during the week to be out late.....am I getting old. Sh!t

88 tomorrow, 89 saturday!

My email address is in the post above.  Shoot me a line if you get the itch this or any weekend.

Oh, and I mean the itch to ride.  I don't want to hear about other itches.  Only itches to ride.  Or drink.
