There's gonna be a crew working on the trails at Neshaminy this Saturday. Good chance to practice some trail shaping skills. A ride will more than likely happen after the work so bring your bike and whatever tools you may have. Don't forget a pair of work gloves. This could be a chance to preride the Neshaminy course, one of the best in the series.
Work starts at 9 and we meet behind the high school. Follow the driveway around to the right and park in back. The man in charge is a fast singlespeeder by the name of Tim D.

Neshaminy course is looking good. I think it is going to be one the hardest courses in series. The hard working trail crews have added approximately another mile to an already grueling course. Including the construction of a long fast turnpike that travels over a marshy area. Very cool stuff.

NICE! When is the race?!?!!?? I did this one last year on a loaned Rush bike from Cannondale, and placed 5th. (I refused to ride my 33.45356 lb. Gemini) Can you tell I love Cannondale?!? Oh and this course is mad fun...

Work again at Neshaminy this saturday the 19th.
Hopefully, a ride of the course afterwards. If you have not ridden the course at Neshaminy, you are in for a treat, and a beatdown.
Work will be from 830 till 11. Short and sweet. Bring a snack with you, cause there will be no refreshments. Sorry.
If anyone needs directions let me know.

But the course was hit really hard. One of the chaps from Guys, Adam,
was very kind and gave us a tour of the messed up sections.
WoW!
It is obvious how much work has been put into the place, and yet it is
devastating to see what the storm did. It looks like a twister went
through the place. There had to be around 30 trees down on the course;
so many in some areas that it was hard to find where the trail went!
Trees were broken in half, and some were uprooted entirely. Plus the
rain and hail tore up the ground in places and everywhere is littered
with fresh green leaves ripped off by the storm. It's like a green
autumn.
So Guys has really got their work cut out for them. My guess is that if
you are into doing maintenance, they will certainly need your help.
Much of what needs taking care of is obvious, but I wouldn't suggest
making a move without some direction from the Guys in charge...

Latest word is that a large group of guys racing members and others showed up with an army of chanisaws and took down all the fallen trees. Some local experts say it was a tornado.

Hey Dirt, that was my copyrighted post from MASS matters!
I'm not sure I can ride the course. I could barely do it last year with 27 gears. At the moment I only have the SS so unless someone wants to lend me a geared bike with a motor I think I'll just a a spectator.
If I get up really early I might try the beginners. I'm seriously thinking I'll be out there 1.5 hours per lap! If its dry it will be tough, but if it's wet I'll be walking every log roll and most of the bridges, downhills, uphills. hell, it'll just be a hike with a bike.

Jesse, dude, stop being so hard on yourself and just ride.
The storm a was a tornado, but when mountainbikers combine their efforts it is very similar to a powerful storm. I'll be up there Saturday morning with a group of volunteers and a truck full of tools to finish up. Be there racing on sunday. Awesome course.
