I'm better on the lower part of the trails (behind VG and south) where it isn't so rocky and the hills aren't so bad. We'll be out with the "slightly aging" group at 6 tonight at VG if anyone wants to join in. Pace will be significantly slower than a Lou Harris ride(unless Gerry and Donna are riding their singlespeeds, in which case the rest of us have a chance), but we'll still have fun.
BTW - some shots of the Asheville trip are at http://picasaweb.google.com/jpearce08055/BikingInNC2007 We rose Tsali one day and Bent Creek another. Great riding - kinda like Fair Hill - nothing technical, but wonderful scenery and some great downhills in the woods. I crashed in Tsali and ripped up my right arm, which is why I was wearing the pads last night, but it was my stupid mistake on a simple trail. There's easily a week's worth of riding down there - it would be a great place for a road trip.

Last year that day there was a Hell Ride... 06/06/06 not to be this year, besides, it's PMBA monthly meeting, so I won't be riding. If anyone else wants to lead, have fun!

Hey, going to ride tomorrow, starting at 5:30 from the stables at Northwestern and stopping by VG at 6 to pick up anyone who'd show up there.
Come on out and lets make it a good one!

I'm out; thinking about doing Neshaminy at 4pm instead, and if its a washout might just take the trail up to Valley Forge; boring but better then no riding at all...

Interesting proposition...I live and work minutes from it. and I won't be able to race this weekend, so pre-riding the course might be interesting... but not sure if we should be riding dirt at all after this rain... all depends on how wll it drains and dries up by the morning.

Went out for a Sunrise ride (5:45a to 7:30a) wednesday AM. Trails are gret. Better than the condtions during the Rally in the Valley. And the repaired sections near the golf course and near Blue Bell Hill are fanatastic.

DZM, there's still a good chance I'll be riding Neshaminy tonight (6/13). I'll leave here (near VG) around 4 and be ready to ride at 5, depending on traffic. I've got one other taker so far.
I've missed the last two days to rain so I'm eager to do ride no matter what...

just to confirm; riding Neshaminy tonight at 5pm. So far got one other taker. I'm sure others will be floating around the course too if you want to check it out. And if it's really pouring I'll just urban assault the shcool on my SS. Directions are on the Guy's Racing flyer:

Maybe. Fletcher mentioned a ride, his first in weeks since he broke his hand. I'm not sure if he checks the forum so I'll get back to you. I'm still trying to recover from Neshaminy, so I could use an easy ride.

Looks like I'm also on the "tick list". Probably picked it up last Tuesday or Thursday out in Wiss. Got the "target" marks on my stomach, which started to show up Friday and are now the size of a dinner plate. Went to the doc yesterday and am now on Doxycycline for a month. Hopefully this will be the end of it and I won't end up with future symptoms. Geez - the things that we risk just for a few good rides!

Ok, who's going riding on Wednesday, June 27th. I'll be shooting to start from Stables on Northwestern around 5-ish, and hit VG around 6
Lemme know if you want to come along.

K-Man is the best person to ride behind... I've seen him save some crashes that would have claimed mere mortals.. I recall doing about 25mph on downhill at Brandywine watching Krotee doing a flying W (both feet off pedals and above head..) and correct and save it.... unbelievable..
