Well, I read through all the posts on this thread with interest. Then I went and rode the trail today. I'm a person who sees things in simplistic terms. I don't know if that's to my advantage or disadvantage but it seems to me that there's a lot of hoo-ha and hurt feelings about who didn't tell who  and who has been at tmd's more but shit, it's a pretty cool trail. My 53 year old body hasn't made it up that wash out climb in the last dozen tries but i had a grand old time riding the new trail today and that's what matters to me. So as you guys posture and tout your importance, I'll ride the new wussy trail. In fact in the profile section  we should add wussy to the rider rating ( Amateur, Intermediate, Expert) because I'd gladly fly my wussy flag. And I promise, I'll be at the January TMD even though I have a gig that night.
Disclaimer:
I wrote this after riding and one strong Jack and Coke.
