I am trying to plan a route for a ride I'm planning on taking and would like to go down Chaplin Hill.  We'll be starting at the Pavillion (where the clinics have started).  Could someone please give me directions to Chaplin Hill?  I remember it from the beginners ride I did at one of the clinics and thought it was an awesome downhill.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

It's literally by the pavillion. You have a few choices on how you can get there. If you follow the single tract/side trail from the Pavillion (to the right of the Pavillion) down to the main trail (dumps out at the log ride) and turn right, you'll be going down Chaplin Hill in about 30 seconds. Hope that makes sense??

It's very close to the pavilion. Just take the yellow trail to the right toward the city, or south, and you will go down Chaplin Hill. It will be the first donw hill you come to. It is a burly hill, probably washed out from the rain since it's totally unsustainable. If you take the coil trail, you will have to make a left after you ride the berms, and then when you get to the yellow trail make a right.

Hey since we are on the topic of directions.  Can anyone tell me how to get to the Bowl?  I have heard about this place, seen the pictures, but have no clue where it is.  I usually come into the park on Demo 1 or Livsey, so directions from there would be awesome. 

I don't think I can ride those jumps in the pics, but I just really want to see what it looks like.

I'm pretty sure I know how to get there!  We went out and back then down and around at the clinic so I wasn't sure where I was by the end of it!   :D  I just remembered that Chaplin Hill was awesome and I wanted to try and go down it again (faster this time).  I haven't ridden the Wiss much so I don't know where all the sections are.

...Oh! the yellow trail is the main trail that travels behind the pavilion. Just head into the woods and I'm sure you will find it. Once you find it make a right. Hope that helps. Have fun.

the way I found it was by Colm showing me.. from Livezey follow the trail counterclockwise till you hit the gravel road at Lincoln. Usually you'd turn left at the gravel to go to the paved area. You know where I'm talking about? But you'll also notice across from you is another entrance into the woods. When you get to that bomb shelter looking thing (what is that by the way?) turn left & go over the wood bridge. The trail splits to the left & the right. Bear right & follow it around & you'll basically dead end right at the bowl.

Thanks Tom!  Rob's coming w/ me and between us, I'm sure we can find it...   I need to start riding the Wiss more to figure out where everything is.  We'll be at the kid's day on Saturday (we're planning to ride on Sunday) so I might just take a walk to see where I'm going.   ;)  I'm a bit directionally challanged, so here's hoping I don't get lost!   ;D

Thanks Bonkers.  I'll have to try and remember that when I'm out that way.  I'll be at the Skills Clinic on Saturday so maybe I'll make it a point to head up that way sometime during the day.  Or, maybe I'll find someone to take me to it.  Either way I will find it.
