Post by: dieselkarl on May 28, 2008, 08:18:50 AM
Here's another not so great area to take 1st in:

Kryptonite's Top 10 Worst Bike Theft Citie...
CANTON, MA (BRAIN)—Kryptonite has once again released its Top 10 Worst Cities for Bike Theft.

Without further ado for 2007:

1. Philadelphia, PA
2. Chicago, IL
3. New York City, NY
4. San Francisco, CA
5. Tucson, AZ (tie)
Portland, OR (tie)
7. Denver, CO
8. New Haven, CT
9. Cambridge, MA
10. Austin, TX

Kryptonite's marketing manager Donna Tocci said she was shocked by the data.

In Philly often a bike is stolen while the owner is still riding it.

Oft times while climbing the monster or the climbing up to the meadow headed north, I wish that someone would jump out of the woods and steal my bike so I would  have an excuse to walk.

Gotta love Philly! Let's see we've hit the top of the lists as the fattest city, almost the worst city for crime, AND we throw snowballs at Santa.. We rock, we're rocks, or we'll throw rocks- take your pick! :D
