Title: Rally!! Post by: bonkers on April 19, 2008, 07:36:46 PM That was an awesome day on the Wiss, well minus the fall I took that could've broken my wrist. Good food, good weather, big turnout, lots of positive vibes back from people I talked to, & good riding!! (winning a Fuji was a plus too..lol). Sorry I didn't hang out for the clean up/after party.. I was in need of getting my wrist iced down as it was starting to swell during the raffle. In all again.. awesome day! I'm in for next year! :)
RALLY.. RALLY.. RALLY... Title: Re: Rally!! Post by: fishnchips on April 19, 2008, 09:45:11 PM sorry about the wrist dude; but the bike make sup for it! ;D

Title: Re: Rally!! Post by: jarmaug on April 21, 2008, 12:13:25 AM Talked to a LOT of folks who had never heard of PMBA before, didn't know about the rally, but HAD noticed the work done on the trails. Got lots of very positive feedback about the work PMBA has done, and that work alone was reason for most of those people to go in and shell out some cash. Good work, guys. Keep coming back, it works. I was mentioning to Maura (FOW) my previous experience with a non-profit organization and how miserable it was, but everything with PMBA has been the total opposite. I’m very proud to be associated with all of you and it’s a honor to be a part of PMBA and FOW. Knowing that all our efforts are going directly to support the trails I love is an extra huge bonus. I feel like this is an award speech, and I know I'm expressing the common sentiment, but I want to say “thank you” to my friends Judy and Elisa who helped me get the signs together, and to Tom, (along with all the marshals), for getting them out there on the trail. It was fun riding with Karl and putting up Paul’s great course signs, though next time I hope I remember I have stakes 3’ above my head when I ride under a low tree limb! I’ve always worked the tables at the TMD lunches and been the last to grab Jan’s left over scrapings(still delicious), so this time I made sure I had a double helping. Lunch alone made all the efforts worthwhile, and I know Jan’s buddy Doug, Heidi, Ulla and Kelly all deserve big thanks. And thanks to Krotee, for getting me a shirt this year. Hunter, as always for the site and flyer that contributed hugely to our success. And of course Dmitri, Jon, Marianna, Neil, Sparango, Nick, Jamie, Chris, Joel, Kathleen, Repo, Kevin, newcomer Rob, the sponsors, and everyone else who came out and helped or rode, and everyone I've forgotten to mention by name. And lastly Lou and David, both of whom I’d rather vote for in tomorrow’s primaries. Title: Re: Rally!! Post by: kenn72 on April 22, 2008, 09:51:07 AM I just wanted to drop a line and say what an excellent time the EWR Bikes staff and I had at the Rally in the Valley this weekend. We couldn't stop talking about how the vibe was so laid back, relaxed and fun. The people that we met were all top notch and we wished that we had more time to ride with them. Seeing everyone hanging out at the bowl afterwards was a perfect ending to the day. My dogs are still sleeping on the couch trying to catch up from all the excitement they had on saturday.
All in all, I can't wait until the next one. This may be my new most favorite event! Nice work PMBA. Glad we were a part of it. Kenn EWR Bikes
