Hey Scott. Welcome to Philly and to our forum! We have several ride options during the week, check on the homepage on the right hand side and you will see our ride schedule complete with contacts and maps of starting points. You are going to love Wiss.

I am new to the area too.  Rode PennyPark Saturday and was going to ride Wiss. today but too much rain.  I will be out of town until a week after Monday.   I am up for riding PP any evening and Wiss or anywhere else on weekends.

I have posted a bunch of times and have not been too successful in hooking up with any other riders.

Seems like the best bet are the one posted on the righ side of the home page.

I understand there may be some trails behind the Nashimny High school which must be close to you.  I work in Nashaminy and that is close to Franklin Mills.

The skill level is also marked on the ride schedule, but we don't mind showing new people around, and waiting if you're off the pace. These are not training rides so we're in no hurry. Of course I'm speaking for the ride that I lead on wed at 5 which is rated as advanced. There is a more beginner ride on Thurs.

Try here for permit

http://www.fairmountpark.org/pdf/Trail_User%20Permit%20Application.pdf

Or just go here and scroll down to trail use permit

http://www.fairmountpark.org/forms.asp

It's not being enforced so you will be ok to ride until you get your permit in the mail.
