I know Keswick is good for demos, what other local shops would you recommend?

I think Trophy Bikes has some Konas you can take out for a test ride.

Cycle Sports in Doylestown gets (or at least used to get) a Cannondale demo trailer. They let me take a Prophet to the Wissahickon for a day which was a great way to test it.

Looking for something close to Wiss. Wiss Cyclery, Keswick, REI, Human Zoom, etc... I gues si"m getitng on the phone and starting to call places.

Drew over at Wissahickon probably would let people test his Engin bikes if he had one that was the correct size.  Sweet custom stuff.   I only say this because my bro mentioned interest in them and Drew offered his personal bike up for Nick to get an idea of what they are about. 

The again, maybe not....but might be worth a call.  You looking for demos for the rally?

Neah, this is not for RitV, this is just shopping for a new personal bike.

Looking to compare some stock bikes, no custom. Don't think there is budget for an Engin...

D... You may want to call Abington Wheel Wright, at Easton Rd adn Susquehanna.

Not sure if they allow demos, but they are in the geographic area you are looking at, so you may want to call.

Bicycle Therapy might be worth a call too, although they are a bit further away from the wiss......

And although it's not local (or what you asked for  :D ), Bike Line of Newark (de), Wooden Wheels, and Henry's bikes are all very close to Middle Run/White Clay, Fair Hill, Iron Hill...etc.   So it might expand the options if needed, wide range of brands between them.  They are the shops I started off with....

Erdenheim Bikes in Flourtown let me take a Giant to the Wiss park about 2 years ago.  It belonged to the guy that worked in the shop and he let people take it out.  Give them a call 215 233 3883 to see if they still offer that.

Guys Bikes used to do demos as well. I know Jamie has demo'd bikes from there as have I. Give them a call.

by demo you mean trail riding demo???

becasue any shop will let you take a bike out for a spin before you buy it!

Yep, more than 45 second spin in th eparking lot in front of the store. At least some sort of trial ride.

Dmitri, what are you looking for - 29er geared, full sus., 29er full sus?  We usually limit test rides to 15-30 mins but if folks are interested in a serious ride on a serious bike, some exceptions can always be made.
