Title: Fairhill Classic? Post by: stern112 on July 05, 2007, 06:22:53 PM Anyone racing in this one on the 15th??
I am going to do it. First race for me ever. Can't wait. Deciding on what Class to race in. I ruled out "First Time Beginner" for sure. Advanced Beginner or Sport is the question. Sport is 23 miles and AB is 12.5. I am not going out to break any speed records...just to have a good time and get my "feet wet" Thoughts? I handle myself pretty well at The Wiss.... even better now with my new Niner. ;D I heard this place is Wiss without the rock and big hills. I am gonna try and head down there this weekend. Title: Re: Fairhill Classic? Post by: surlyrider on July 06, 2007, 11:45:03 PM I am going down on Sunday and then again next Friday. I am thinking I will do AB as I have not raced in many years and when I did, I was close to DFL anyway..
Title: Re: Fairhill Classic? Post by: Lust4singletrack on July 07, 2007, 12:56:57 PM I'd say go for Sport class and get more miles in. Especially if you can do a full lap of Wiss, which would be around 20 miles if you take the long route.
My first year of racing I started in Sport and it was very hard but I survived. I kinda think I should have done a year of Beginner because I could have made the podium more which would have been cool. Either way have fun. Title: Re: Fairhill Classic? Post by: crabapple hits on July 09, 2007, 10:31:51 PM Downhill race #4 at Plattekill for me this weekend! Anyone up for some camping and full body armour downhill craziness?
Title: Re: Fairhill Classic? Post by: dirtmerchant on July 10, 2007, 12:08:14 AM Dude, once you ride Whistler 4 years in a row, there's nothing else that really qualifies as DH... ;D ;D ;D ;D
