Anyone who knows Pennypack interested in going out there some night this week? I ride Wissahickon and Belmont all the time but have never made it up that way.  From the other thread it looks like a bunch of people want to ride there but have no clue...

I may be meeting up with another rider, this Friday afternoon that knows the park really well. It all depends on gettingmy ride fixed in time!!

i might be up for a ride over there on friday (i have the day off).

i know the park KIND OF well... i can easily find my way around but will probably end up lost a couple times for a minute or two ;D

i am thinking hitting it for the first time this season friday early in the AM possibly (maybe meet at 9 or so?). if anyone is interested let me know.

it is definitely worth getting to know. there are some REALLY nice sections of singletrack over there! definitely less tech than wissahickon and faster (less obstacles) than belmont.

I'll join if my ride is fixed by then..............dropping it off at the shop this afternoon :'(

Very cool, I could prob do a morning ride, im sure my boss would understand. Friday morning sounds like a plan. But its a definite if anyone is down for an evening ride after 5 pm sometime. 

so far im in for fri morning.  havent officially got out of work for it, but im definately due for a day off!

cool, i think it will be dry enough to ride in good conscience after today/tonight's winds!

meet at the pine road lot at 9AM sharp. i got some afternoon plans i need to get back for.

for those who don't know, i'll be the big ugly guy in the volvo wagon riding a red 29er singlspeed.

if you could, post up here if your going to come so i know who we should be waiting on (or just don't be late ;) )...


RIDE MOVED UP TO 8:30AM in the intrest of getting a good ride in while maintaining a good relationship with those in my life who don't ride and want to do stuff that day as well.

Rt 1 North.....go west on Rhawn Street (a left from Rt 1 north, second light after you pass Cottman Av) approx 2.5 miles to make a right on Pine Rd, take Pine Rd approx 1 mile to park entrance on right.

sorry i got caught up in work and life yesterday and never made it back hee to check on things.

sorry for all the dead ends i pulled us into but as you can see there are lots of places you can take a wrong turn.

I am new to mountain biking and will be going to Penny Pack this Saturday morning with a friend of mine who has been there before.  This will be my first real off road ride....can't wait.

Saturday is the day of Rally in the Valley, is there a way to sway you and your buddy to come to Wiss instead?  ;)

A great way to meet bunch of people from this board and have fun. The beginner loop should be tame enough for the first timer.

Either way, the weather is promising great, so enjoy your ride wherever you go, and welcome to the adiction!  8)

Yeah, if you really want to see what mountain biking is all about, come out to the rally its going to be a great event and it supports the park!

No question about it. Go to the Rally and tell all your friends. See you there.

I sent him an email with the link to the Rally in the Valley, so it is a possibility. ;D

I was there last Saturday, yesterday and will be there around 10 am tomorrow if anyone else is going.

Anyone feel like going out to PP on Thursday around 6 pm?

I am planning on going on Friday afternoon, whenever I leave work.  I am guessing I will leave around 1:00 or 2:00 and should be able to get to PP by 3:00 if anyone is up for it.

Not sure if I'm ready for the Wiss with any of you guys yet. >:(

I've only been riding for about a month.  I'd be more than willing to try the Wiss, but don't want to hold anyone up. :P

if you can come out today, check out Wissy forum. Looks like no one else responded, and I would make sure we don't get separated.

Only day I can make it is Friday.  I got softball tonight and golf in the afternoon tomorrow.  I'll check the Wiss forum for Friday rides.
