Independent Fabrications Original 1996 Steel Deluxe IF
Listing on eBay for this is Item number: 250212642200

This is a near-mint 1996 original Independent Fabrications Steel Deluxe bike built up as a single speed/town bike. I believe this is a size 15.5" frame. Measured from BB to top tube it is 15.5" and measured to the top of the seat tube is 17". Great MTB Collector's Item from a historic group of frame builders.

Absolutely gorgeous paintjob with a silver/gray to back fade. Almost NO chips or scratches, even by the chainstay.
Manitou 3 threaded fork with elastomers in fantastic condition as well. (I also have some soft MountainSpeed Speed Springs that I will throw in as well)

The steel Deluxe was IF's first model, introduced in 1996. The frame was made with custom True Temper steel, with a 1" headset and straight stays. The Deluxe owes its heritage to Fat City Cycles, the company which pioneered mountain bikes and which was the home and training ground of 5 of the 6 founders of IF. The original Deluxe differed from the Fat City Yo Eddy in that it had size specific tubing, and shorter chain stays.

*Please note* This frame has only one set of top tube cable guides. The right side has been professionally removed. This does NOT affect performance, especially as a single speed. If you want to make it a geared bike, you can still do a downtube front derailleur cable.
