August Trail Maintenance Day!

Work continues on the Early Implementation Trail, a one-mile length of the Orange trail between Bell's Mill Road and the Thomas Mill Road Covered Bridge on the Chestnut Hill side of the park. Work will include invasive plan removal, some re-routing of the trail where it goes through wet areas or floodplain, installation of some signage and wayfinding, and an innovative planting plan. Meeting place will be Bells Mills Rd.

We will join with the IMBA trail crew to help complete this project which will already be under way. This is a great oppurtunity to work with the pros. Work scope will include moving lots of rock and dirt to form a sweet new trail.

Workboots and long pants would be you best bet. Gloves will be provided but if you have your own pair feel free to bring them. Food and water will also be provided. Please if you can bring a water bottle so that you can refill it and help to save waste.

Big news for this workday is Jan (BBQ competition champion) will be bringing his delicious slow cooked pulled pork for lunch! Mmmmm!

After the work day we will be having a pool party at the godfather's house. Bring your suit and whatever food and drinks you would like to have. Directions to this will be given at the work day.
