Please help maintain the beautiful grounds at the Wissahickon Environmental Center (a.k.a. the Tree House) http://www.fairmountpark.org/WissahickonEC.asp.  We will perform mostly hand maintenance on the Central Loop of the Andorra trail system.  Time permitting, additional projects may include planting trees and invasive weed removal.  Most work will be light, with the option of more physically challenging tasks for the adventurous.  Drinks and snacks will be provided.

 

Directions

 

From Ridge Ave/Pike, turn onto Northwestern Ave (if you are heading north turn right, if you are heading south turn left). Follow Northwestern Ave until you reach the parking lot on your right (P-1 on the FOW Map).  From there follow the yellow volunteer signs along the trail until you get to the Tree House.

 

From Germantown Ave/Pike, turn onto Northwestern Ave (if you are heading north turn left, if you are heading south turn right).  Follow Northwestern Ave until it dead ends at Forbidden Drive, and take the gravel driveway uphill until you reach the parking lot (P-2 on the FOW Map).  Alternatively, you can park along Northwestern Ave and walk up the driveway.
