Our 2nd Official Trail Maintenance Day (TMD) sponsored by FOW. Meeting at 9am at Gorgas Lane trailhead in Roxborough. This will be a continuation of the work we did with FOW on the 14th to help slow the badly eroding section of trail near the Henry Ave. bridge. Tools, gloves and snacks will be provided. Long pants and work boots recommended.
Directions:
From Ridge Avenue in Upper Roxborough:
Take Ridge Avenue southbound past the WAWA at Lemonte Street.
Gorgas is the next street on the left.
Turn left at Gorgas and go to the bottom of the hill to the gate at
the trailhead.
From Ridge Avenue in Lower Roxborough:
Take Ridge Avenue northbound past Gorgas Park and past Roxborough High School on the left at Fountain Street.
Gorgas is the next street on the right.
Turn right on Gorgas and go to the bottom of the hill to the gate at
the trailhead.
Parking:
Please park carefully and avoid blocking driveways and other vehicles. Volunteers may need to park a up the hill and walk down to the trailhead. |
