Event title PMBA TMD National Trails Day with REI
Where: Wissahickon Park - Philadelphia
Category: PMBA Official Event

Event description:

One of the biggest causes of user conflicts is blind corners. This is the time of year when the trails close in on us. We are going to have some groups going out to the trails to clear the sight lines, aka, clear the corridor. Fast blind corners? Gotta open em up. This job could be done on bike to cover more ground. A short lesson on proper trimming as well as how to identify and remove invasive species will be given.

This is a BYOL event (Bring Your Own Lopper).   We have some loppers and hand pruners, but please bring your own if you have them!

(The Golf Course Climb re-route originally planned for this day has been postponed, but the meeting spot is the same.)

Directions:

The trail work will occur in the southern end of the park on the Yellow Trail near the Walnut Lane Bridge.  The best place to park is Hermit Lane between Henry Ave and Barnes Street.  Arrive by 9 am to meet our trail leaders on Hermit Lane who will lead you to the project site.  Look out for the Yellow FOW Volunteer signs.
